Must be in 'normal reality', not pergatory.
Must have an msn/hotmail email account or make one, and sign in daily.
Description:
We are diplomatic and peaceful.
We help protect and advise each other.
We value personal growth above all else.
We shall only engage in war AS A LAST RESORT.
WE ARE A GROWTH ALLIANCE, NOT A WARRING ALLIANCE!
We choose to play and grow using as much information, knowledge and wisdom as possible.
Our goal is to be the most stable, diplomatic, peaceful, active and fun alliance in GateWars!
We aim to establish and maintain neutral or peaceful relations with others for as long as possible.
Whenever nessessary we will use our wisdom, diplomacy and negotiation skills to calm and alleviate tensions and issues with others.
As members of Ascended Alliance we have chosen to play GateWars in a fashion that resembles the values and goals of the ascended ancients from Stargate SG-1.
We are extremely reluctant to enter into wars and hostilities with others as we are wise enough to know that this would severerly hinder our growth and development and will only do so if the cost would be greater not to.
We will not have a tax program.
We will have a 12h alliance ppt each week.
Each member can choose whatever alliance tag they want (within reason).
We will be a member of the 'Disciples Of Heset (wealth)' house, permanently.
We will not have alliance growth programs (this may change in the future if we gain enough members).
Rules:
#1 No random massing.
#2 Do not extort, scam or cheat others or each other.
#3 Be respectful in your posts to each other and within the GW Community.
#4 You cannot undertake hostile actions of any kind against players in alliances with have 'non-aggressive pacts' (NAPs) with.
#5 If you have been the victim of hostile actions you may respond in kind but try diplomatic options first please.
#6 If hostilities persist despite diplomacy please notify the alliance leader and the alliance leader will try to resolve the issue.
#7 If an issue arises between one of our members and another player that can't be peacefully resolved with diplomacy a vendetta will be suggested to resolve the problem and alleviate the tension.
Leadership:
The leadership of the alliance will be structured as follows:
We have a 'Supreme Commander' (SC) (leader),
A 'Commander' (Co) (2IC, 'General' type-of-role),
And a 'Diplomat' (Dip) (3IC, peace negotiator)
These 3 positions together form the 'High Council' (HC) which can vote on important issues.
The SC oversees all aspects of the alliance, but DOES NOT have a VETO power (VETO powers do not work in practice, just look at the United Nations 'UN'!)
However the vote of the SC is equal in value to the votes by the Co AND the Dip! So if the SC votes one way on an issue but both the Co AND the Dip vote the other way, it cancels out and an alliance-wide vote will take place.
One thing that will have to change is the alliance tags of the members that fill these positions, so others will know who to talk to in our alliance.
(tags will have to be; Supreme Commander, Commander and Diplomat respectively)
We will vote on the SC and the SC will appoint members to fill the other 2 positions.
The Co & Dip are in place to help manage the alliance and the SC can give them minor tasks to do from time to time.
On important issues (for example, declarations of war) the SC can call for a majority vote on what course of action to take if it is appropriate. Simple as that!
