Forum suggestion
In the galactic council are, perhaps each alliance can have thier own section in there, to make announcements and a variety of discussion topics? So therefore the alliance announcement section would be converted from what it is now into a more individualized forum setting.

Moved, this is not an account issue and therefore it's rightful place is here.
I'm sorry but this is a bad idea. Each alliance have their own section in the GC? You do realise how many alliances that would be, and continously having to create new sections everytime a new alliance is made. Sorry but i don't think that will work.

You do realise he is referring to the Galactic Council area, not the Galactic Colosseum, hm?Clarkey wrote:Moved, this is not an account issue and therefore it's rightful place is here.

It doesn't matter what area it is on the forum, the outcome is still the same. Creating sections for every alliance and everytime a new alliance pops up.Julietta Putina wrote:You do realise he is referring to the Galactic Council area, not the Galactic Colosseum, hm?Clarkey wrote:Moved, this is not an account issue and therefore it's rightful place is here.

Re: Forum suggestion
Yes different areas within the galactic council. I hink when we have announcements of all sorts it would be nice to do so in our own " realm" and from the looks of things at the moment we could use something fresh to pick up the traffic in here. You could even make it to where a designated member from an alliance can mod thier own alliance area therefore not tasking the main staff with more than they can handle...i know it will work because i have managed a forum whereas multiple alliances used the same one...and it worked quite well i might add...anyways the idea behind the idea is to increase traffic, participation and efficiency.
In regards to new alliane issue..simple. In order for them to have thier own section membership must be xxx, and thier age must be xxx. So there, that issue is done with.

I.. we might be convinced of something along these lines but the Gal Coun area is hardly even used and it has not been used for it's original purpose since ...well a month after it was made.
I this is where the typical alliance stuff is located..it will be used, and will be much easier to find, and read. Just think..good history, awards, and a miriad of discussions easy to find can go on here. The current format is fine, but scattered a bit...i would put together a nice Dde section complete with history, library, graphic artifacts, war history just to name a few.

Re: Forum suggestion
I had no knowledge such an area even existed. Maybe if those that would find this suggestion (or something similar) of much interest they should voice that interest here. if it's currently a very inactive area then an indication that it would be of benefit should be evident in this suggestion, if people want it.

It is only visible to the few who are actually members of the Galactic Council, mister Chuck.Jedi~Tank wrote:I this is where the typical alliance stuff is located..it will be used, and will be much easier to find, and read. More specifically; what use is a museum that no one can visit?
Eliminate the restriction on view and post then, but keep the actual membership designated to alliances that meet the age and member count guidelines.

Re: Forum suggestion
In a section that is under-used a flood of new sections does not provide a general boost to activity. Often it is actually the opposite. It provides a loss of activity.
However, we are open to opening up the section more.

Im not going to argue your points, but as i said, this forum needs traffic an the current status quo aint cutting it. You have to try new things to have success at something.

Hear, hear. But I am curious, how do you think this will bring traffic back? By carrying a function of 'outside' alliance forums into this forum?Jedi~Tank wrote:Im not going to argue your points, but as i said, this forum needs traffic an the current status quo aint cutting it. This is a supplement..for example..if i added the dde historical section out here, it may open up nice discussions back and forth between the members and others
Now these things can be added in the usual alliance announcement section, but imo it is more personal and better organized in an actual alliance section.
I am sure btween DDE, TAF, OE, TL, FS, HVE and other long standing alliances here is allot of history to share and talk about, and nice for others to see and comment on...in a word..its an avenue of marketing as well..new members and visitors coming in would like a section like that..atleast I am sure they would.
Edit: rename it from galactic council to TGW ALLIANCE CENTRAL. Or something like that.

Ya i second this idea, gives people something to look at and really it also gives a good history of GW and the wars it has contained

There is already a place for alliance histories.
