Merc Market Bug

I noticed yesterday that when I train raiders they now count as supers in the merc limit calcs.

Raiders 55,000,000
Super Soldier 15,000,000
Attacking Mercenaries 27,000,000
Super Guards 15,000,000
Defending Mercenaries 20,000,000

47000000 Trained Mercs.
85000000 Trained Military Units.
You can have a maximum of 89,250,000 Trained Mercs.

If this is a deliberate 'update' it could make massing much cheaper, simply by raiders, buy mercs and arm them, then untrain the raider and away you go, massing with mercs instead of supers.

Sadly I dont have a war or anyone to it out on :(

I think its always been like this.. you can use normal attackers or defenders to increase the amount of mercs you can hold... but you are still limited to x mercs per x super.. you can't train a merc only army.

The Merc limit used to be set purely on number of Supers + Merc Tech, it never used to go up just from training raiders.

And since raiders can at the moment be matched by mercs, yes you could have an all merc army by training raiders, buying mercs, then selling the raiders. I havent tested it on the turn tickover yet, maybe that would auto-correct but I could certainly build a all merc strike and mass someone in 1 turn with no super/UU losses.

I just untrained raiders and the mercs remained

Personnel
Raiders 0
Super Soldier 15,000,000
Attacking Mercenaries 27,000,000
Guards 0
Super Guards 15,000,000
Defending Mercenaries 20,000,000

You now have:
47000000 Trained Mercs.
30000000 Trained Military Units.
You can have a maximum of 31,500,000 Trained Mercs.

It has been like this for at least the last three years. They'll slowly... walk away each turn after you untrain the normal units, but for farming/massing runs, it works great.

If thats the case then I have been in the receiving end of a bug for the last 3 years, 3 years in constant war and it never let me buy mercs bases on raiders before this week, 3 years when no one used this to mass me, and 3 years when I couldnt see anyone else with mercs that made me think there was a bug.

I've experience this for a while, though it doesn't always let me buy the full amount, just a little more than I 'should' be.
