About officer naq distribution

just curious as to how the whole charing of naq affects a commander.
i do realise that you give you officers 10 to 30% of your income but does it mean.

for example that if you have 5 officers and you give them 10%.Does it mean that they share the 10% or do each get 10% of my income?

it is split between them, Eg, you are set at 10% with 5 officers...each will get 2% of your income(1/5 of 10%)

I have nothing much more to add to what Raistlin said('twas well explained), except there is a much more detailed analysis of naq and things related in the Deity's Guide to the Universe(first couple of sections, so no digging for it). It goes though the integration and formulas and such, if you are interested.
