1 merc question and 1 ms suggestion

when I go on the merc market and buy the max merc number i can it actually is 10 higher than it should normally be.
one example: I got 4500 soldiers and merc control 2 (45% max mercs in army)
normally i could only have 4500*0.45=2025 mercs but in reality i can actually have 2035 mercs.
anyone experiencing the same thing or is it just a random bug/conicidence/something else?

One suggestion with the mothership:
I think one should be able to sell the weapons and shields one has installed in the ms. I mean, it's like weapons and you can sell them, so why not being able to sell ms weapons?

well the first thing with the mercs yes i know of , but its so small that i never cared.
and to the second well it htink its to prevnt people that ascend from selling most of their mothership too.
