I can't find anywhere that confirms this maximum 1/3 of your population being priests and then anymore has no effect on higgs generation

In my experience (up to 17th ascension) I have pretty well only trained priests so I don't think this is accurate, but anyone able to clarify?

It is accurate, you have been wasting 2/3 of your army

Train 1 priest for every 2 miners.

How is it possible that my higgs per turn continually went up even though I was training everything into priests?

That's how Percentages work....

Say your army consists or just 30 Priests, 1/3 (or 33.3%) of those would be 10. So you have 10 Priests who are working to increase your Godly Tensor and the other 20 Priests are slackers doing nothing.

Add 3 more Priests to your army, giving you 33 Priests, 1/3 or (33.3%) of 33 is 11, so you now have 11 Priests working to increase your Godly Tensor and 22 Priests slacking around. (so the amount of Higgs Particles you create per turn increases and thus your Godly Tensor increases)

Say you now add 33 Miners, giving you a total of 66 units, 33 Priests and 33 Miners. 1/3 (or 33.3%) of 66 is 22. So, you now have 22 Priests working to increase your Godly Tensor, 33 Miners generating NAQ and 11 Priests slacking around doing nothing.

Add another 33 Miners to the mix, giving you 99 units in total, 33 Priests, 66 Miners. 1/3 (33.3%) of 99 is 33. So all 33 of your Priests are working and you also have 66 Miners generating NAQ.
