G&R Points and ascension

I keep reading about G& R points and ascending what is this all about sorry i know its a bit of a noob question but istarted playing this about a year ago and then stopped for a while i've come back and i keep reading about the G&R points also some users instead of being goauld are system lords how do you upgrade this

You get the 'system lord' bit when you ascend (If you are gouald)

Your race and its ascended counterpart:

Goa'uld -> System Lord
Replicator -> NanoTiMaster
Tau'ri -> Tollan
Asgard -> Ancient

Also people with different titles in red means they have ascended a different number of times:

Prior -> 1 ascension
Prophet -> 2 ascensions
Messiah -> 3 ascensions
Incarnate -> 4 ascensions
Living God -> 5 or more (max 7) ascensions

What about INDU, ORI, TOLAH, and ANJA? Those are differented ascended races, you will find out the rest when you get there.

Man, there needs to be an ascended sticky and this needs to be in it
