aaargh., this is the second aaarghing time i've sent my MS off to galavant around looking for a new planet while trying to get to the planet saummary screen. and the second likely time that it's not gonna find anything. can we at least get the button moved so it's not flush with the planet summary button?
can we also get a recall MS function so we can get our MS back if we make this mistake (downside to it would be no sightings of planets if you recall it.
have a confirm search for new planet thing

There are some things in life money can't buy. For everything else, there's superior firepower.

I agree - a 'confirm mothership deployment' would be good - I ahve had a few people moan that they have sent it out accidentally - lol!
Also - a 'recall mothership' function would be good and, despite what Ragnarok said about you've sent it millions of light years away, sothere is no way to call it back I think this could work. It is sent away - but I am assuming it spends the majority of the time away searching for suitable planets, not actually travelling - also, it could be made so that the ship does not return for at least 2 FULL turns, and it costs naq to get it back, due to the increased energy it has to expend to get back quickly. In fact - it could be set up so that the more naq you spend, the quicker it gets back.
I'm also moving this to suggestions as it is more of a suggestion than a discussion.

Knare wrote:When sending your MS out, it should take until the end of the turn before leaving for 'preperations.' This gives people time to stop the journey all together (think, this could save quite a number of threads saying 'hay i sent my ms out by accident n wan it bak plz'). They should also be able to be recalled at any time, just it will take a few turns to get back; so the journey can be cut short if times call for it.
I like my idea, I posted this in general a few days ago

I think the cost of defense of a planet is fair enough, but maybe the attack success ratio shouldn't be so cut and dry, like the traditional attack - defense. There are other less cut and dry 'attacking' algorithms, for example:
- Sabotaging, with the idea of percentage damage or maximum damage per attack, whichever is greater.
- Covert Agent Kill rate, complex calculation![]()
I think one attack per day for planets is to par with how long it takes for a mothership to discover them. However, because stealing what others have usually takes less time than discovering them, maybe a bigger limit should be imposed. Say 2-4 per day, or we can apply the 'distance' rule that raiding has (difference in rank become how many minutes?). The further the distance, the longer it takes to reach/less damage can be applied.
The other imbalance in the attack/defense of planets is the fact that the fleet strength is higher for Tauri, which is par to their race advantage, but the planet defense do not have this advantage at all.
Just a few cents that may be worth considering...
It is all well and good making suggestions - but this has nothing to do with this thread - please suggest it elsewhere, or look for a thread in which it is already being discussed.
