New Races (please read)

Yes i am shol'vah please get over that, my game name is TheGiver

Ok my idea is 2 add the Nox,Tollan,Ancients,Wraith, and the Retu.

Now this is my idea for the race bonuses

Tauri-keep the same(attack)

Asgard-give the asgard a unit production bonus (since they have cloning and stuff)

Goa'uld-keep the same(income)

Replicator-keep the same(covert)

Tollan-give the tollan a small attack/defense bonus

Nox-give the Nox the defense bonus

Retu-Give the Retu a small attack/covert bonus

Ancients-give the ancients a very small bonus on attack/defense/covert/income/unit production

Wraith-give the wraith a small attack bonus and make the units harder 2 kill
any suggestions will be appreciated:)

i completely agree with you on this topic this should really be considered to kep the game growing and getting better but also teh wraith should be considered heck any race that can go to all out war with teh asgard and win has to be a power in teh universe

the asgard are a "dieing race" so how are they going to make more?
the Nox DO NOT FIGHT they just hide and act as a third party.
the ancients are long gone and what was left be hind we have no idea how 1/2 the stuff works
wraith need a better bounes

I think in some time (not now) new races will be neadedto keep people's interest

and if i am correct cant forum copy whatever he uses for like the repli's and change it then call it wraith or something

i think it is a good idea but it shouldn't be put in any time soon

MAYBE when the game resets more can be put in

I agree. Also tollan defence bonuse? They get wiped out by the gou'ald as they don't upgrade there defence's enough relying soly on the ion cannon. The asgaurd only clone new bodies and transfer their consiences to them there numbers do not grow they fall cause some asgaurd die in battle.
Ps new races equal new bonuses not changing the old ones round they should bring something new to the game. Wraith probaly have a unit production bonuse as they don't die of natural causes and that is how they defet the acients supiror numbers.

i dislike the asgard and nox ideas, and since the ancients are gone and ascended, i don't think they should be brought in...

the Tok'ra... could be the attack/defence bonus, which could mean the tollan could get the defence/covert bonus.

i don't think the wraith should be brought in unless the ancients are... and they'd prolly have bigger bonuses... maybe they should be for ascension!!

fairly well thought out, the only reason most people here dislike the race ideas is that most people don't think out the bonuses...
they just ask for a race to be implememted.

i ask for more indepth info though, like come up with weapons for the Tollan, and the Retu. and maybe we could actually see new races...

The Tokra: Give them the replicators spy bonuses, give the replicators a UP bonus per turn and a discount on the levels.

The Wraith: Can somebody say "Raid" feature? It makes sense if you watch Atlantis. But perhaps they should only be refined to stealing mercs, Supersoldiers, and spies. They should not be confined to ascention server.
I thought that the ascention server was another plane of existance? Who knows who has been to Kheb to read the inscriptions. They should ascend, but not be a ascention mode only. Limit thefts on the weaker peeps more and allow the wraith to untrain their captured into untrained soldiers (not untrained mercs!!!). This would be their option to either keep or convert. We could set values of the spies, the merc or the the SS, to decide how much each would be worth in untrained. I know that may sound stupid, but some could work hard enough to pull the weight of three men!! They could steal a variety during Kidnap raids. Perhaps they would take more damage to offense weapons during a raid? Plus, perhaps they could be able to untrain all men/or sell @ their full values. There would be modifiers in place to make it suck even worse for switching to away from wraith, then back just for this bonus! That value should increase everytime. These could make wraith more enjoyable to play. To switch all of your defense Supersoldiers over to attack ones whenever your are ready to attack at no charge to yourself. They could even have the ability to give Supersoldiers perhaps VIA Suporter Status?

RE EDIT, THX edition: This slipped my mind!! Perhaps peeps could mulit account with mercs and cheat VIA mercs. So there would have to be safeguards against people using the mercs as an unfair advantage!!

The Or'I: We should know more to make a valid race really soon in season 9. This my friends should be ascention mode only.

THe Ancients: I thought this is want the ascention server was all about?

To elaborate on the wraith bonus(es) and to bump the thread at the same time, maybe they could have the ablity to covert all troops killed in combat into naquadah? This heres the scale:

Mercs: The lowest bonus per attack
Supersoldiers: medium
Actuall attackers/defenders the best!!

The reasoning: they eat em!!

we've already been through this... UP is so important for growth that you CANNOT make any bonus around it... practically everyone would be that race, and that would put an end to race wars, which as we all know, makes this game more interesting...

Well, you'd need a bonus that's only very long-term. I'd propose an extra untrained unit when you start. That's a long-term strategy advantage!

shol'vah, Ancients with an advantage EVERYWHERE!!!! that would be unfair!
the goa'uld would have no chance, nor would any other race!

ancients should only be in the ascended server, not regular.

no Re'tu or Nox or Tollan because they are too infrequent, or dead, in the series.

wraith, although in Atlantis is a good idea in my opinion, and raid for them would be good.

i think race bonus' need to redone, but, THIS IS A TEXT BASED GAME AND IS IT ABLE TO BE AS BIG AS WE ALL WANT IT TO BE???

why do the tau'ri have an attack bonus?
shouldn't that go to a race that is actually offensively strong (SG teams use covertness and stealth NOT head on attack power)
can the tau'ri destroy planets? no, the goa'uld can, and so can the asgard (you'd expect)!

tok'ra or ori could be additions, with or without the wraith...

Tauri bonus - covert bonus, or increased sabatage stength (since they are allies to the tok'ra)
Asgard - attack/defense bonus BUT a suitable UP weakness compromise.
either that or the current defense bonus.
Goa'uld - Attack bonus
Replicators - a unit bonus, an extra few units a turn or something... a small percentage deemed as fair OR Bahamuts idea of Assimulation (https://talk.gatewa.rs/viewtopic.php?t=3461)
Tok'ra - Cheaper covert levels (if its worth having them in the game!!)
Ori - god knows!
Wraith - RAID feature!


this are ideas off the top of my head, and tauri with the covert bonus sounds stupid but i am just stating ideas.

bonuses need re doing ;)

Ok some of theses ideas are quite good but for the sake of ever geting any of these sugestens pased stay away from the unit production. These are some of the ideas i had tell me what u think. :-D
Wraith would have to be attack in my opinon after thinking about it they don't defend there whole exsistence depends on attacking. If the attack and defence idea for asgaurd was not like current levles and mabey favouring defence, as for the up they may be a dieing race but their units on this game are drones they make them no problems their. As for the reps and tauri how about attack/covert for the tauri . The tauri are more of small elite teams which use stealth to win and they do have some very effective weapons such as C4 or the humble p90. The reps could get a attack/defence bonuse more towords attack cause the replicators are more of an agrasive race and it would simulate the fact they steal technology which improves attack and defence. As for the gou'ald keep the income bonuse but add a covert one of appropriate degree as they are in posetion of stealth technology after all think of the asasin on the alfa site for example or even the fact that they have been shown inflatrating planets such as the paradise of the ferlinings and the asasin on earth as well as in alternated time line when aphoise try's to use danile as a spie untill tealic kills him.
so what do u think?

you guys are making this even less likely to be added...
we need simple bonuses first, and then maybe later we could expand upon them...

first, don't go trying to change pre-existing bonuses so you can modify the new bonuses.

second, what i suggested, forum has already said is possible.(long time ago, and may be less possible now...)

third, though i know little of sg-1 itself, i know that we are not bound to the story, we can have some differances!!
