since the new update i been trying too understand the reasoning behind the ability too mass the planet defences now..
as i see it the power deliverd by fleets and by planatary defences is equal
10% for both as stated in the update section
the problem i see with this is that with fleets the main cost comes from hangers once you have the hangers the actual fleets are cheap ...
but the hangers do not get damaged
so the repairs costs while massing a planet are alot cheaper than the defence costs
a fleet cost only 12,227,600
where as a defence costs 30,000,000 for just a small planet
now if mr blogs decides too mass your planet his hangers which are the main cost for him never get hurt so he only needs too pay some small repairs on his fleet at the most he has too pay 12mil for a new fleet
where as the planet losses the whole defence post at a cost of at least 30mil
this is in my opinion totaly unbalanced in a war game
most peeps realise that too defend is less costly than too attack war is always that way ..
anyway i dont like the way the update works in this respect !!!

on top of that the planets are insanely powerful, one of my officers was ranked around 1,800 with this new update, because he has so many planets he is now in the top 1,000 already, and it is just because he has covert planets which give him about an extra 16 billion power (8 bill spy, 8 bill anti) which is just insane, you dont even need an army now to reach the top 1,000. just get 10 planets and your up there getting g&r points, and from that, reaching ascension is easy.
the new update i think in some ways are to high and unfair, it should be lowered in some areas, such as this.

Seems you can't keep people happy for trying!!! Everyone was complaining that the planets weren't powerful enough before - and now you're saying they're too powerful??

the problem about the planets is, it became even easier to stel them now and people are farming planets like crazy. I think it's totally unbalanced because when you look at players ranked 3000+ you will hardly ever find anyone who has a planet, because the players ranked in the top 1000 have already taken them and of course they cant take them back because they will get massed to death if they do.
So people on crappy ranks have no chance to keep their planets as they can't afford the naq to build up a defence. Sending the mothership out doesn't seem to work anymore.
Planets only make the strong players stronger and the weaker players get jack...

The concept is that planets are powerful, but are also hard and expensive to keep. The more time that goes on, the better the planets able to be taken will get. But the better they are, the more people will want to take them from you so do not expect to hold onto planets forever!
