If this has already been suggested, I apologize in advance. I looked through the common links and the first 5 pages (of 37!) of suggestions and didn't see it.
My son and I were talking about the game and he suggested increasing the number of market turns. He is ranked much lower than I so I could see why he would want that. His bank can only hold about 1/4 of a multiple. Mine can hold over 10.
So as a compromise, how about we make the limit 15 multiples? This would not benefit or hurt the higher ranking players but would definately be a benefit for the lower ones.
Changing limit on market turns to market multiples.

I see your point... and thats what realized in my mind right now when i seen the topic...
So not limit MT but limit multiples.... daaamn well done idea
I think maybe admin/forum didnt mind that when tried to finetune the market...
Market turn changes was asked before... but eveyone wanted to raise MTs which benefits the powerfull more...
But limiting only the number of multiples to 15is far more effective...
For example, i can afford to have 15multiples cost in my bank... so i could buy my weekly goodies in 1 trade, and dont in 3.... the weaker players could use market lots of times, with their tiny bank...
Thats an idea needs attention:)
You have my vote:)

I don't understand.....
If your son can only hold 1/4 of a multiple, but you can hold over 10, how is changing the limit to 15 multiples a "compromise"?
He will not be able to spend anymore as he cannot hold enough naq in his bank - but you will be able to spend more. Therefore this would benefit the richer players in that they could buy more market goods than before (and can therefore affect market prices more), but the poorer players would not be able to buy anymore than they can now.
It gives the richer more spending power so how is it a compromise?

I believe what he means is that we get a total of 15 multiples, meaning we could take all 15 in one market turn, and that would be our only market turn, or we could do it over the course of 15 market turns with 1 multiple, or even 150 market turns with 1/10th multiples. This would help smaller people alot and not really affect larger players.

Wolf359: That was what i was thinking at the first time... read it again carefully...
He means that elliminate market turns and limit only multiples to 15 (its now 3x5)
So weaker players could use 150x1/10 a week, and strongers can use 1X15 multpiples... that wont benefit the strong but the weak:) Its sure a great idea...

Okay - I gotcha!
This would seem a good idea.
The only downside I see is that when the market turns roll over, there is usually a frenzy of atatcking activity to steal the large amounts of naq that are available as people set up to use their turns. Giving the ability to use all 15 multiples in one go reduces the chance of being caught out with a huge amount of naq in the open and decreases the chances of it being stolen - this in turn reduces the amount of attacking going on. So, although it may make things easier for the richer players, it would actually reduce teh amount of attacking going on.
Can't decide whether I like it or not actually.

Well, as I understand this idea. You could just use the lower player tactic, just faster. If you are afraid of loosing the naq. You have 15 multiples just like the small players.
Take out 5 bil from the bank(or what ever) use 5 multiples, then do it again three times. The players that can't afford to do that will buy one multiple on monday and perhaps two the day after. I think Admin needs to considers this, this would help the smaller player but wont change anything for big players.
One question,
If a big player takes 13 multiples of Lifers then he has 2 left this week, and he could use those for PPT's right? So basically this would allow you to use all multiples, meaning the market would be more efficient for both smaller players and big players.
If this were to happen I could buy 13 multiples of lifers, instead of 10 and then a PPT or two multiples of turns.
So instead of using the last MT for a PPT and missing out 3 multiples you would be able to use them.
Right?

It's a great idea, more so because PPT costs a whole market turn despite only requiring 2 multiples. I'm not suggesting we have any more than 3 per week, but the opportunity to use the remaining 13, 11 or 9 multiples for other resources would be of great use.
