Alliance Leadership Bug

It appears that it is now impossible to transfer alliance leadership to a user that has a commander, just as it is impossible for the alliance leader to change commanders. Isn't there some way to fix this :(

it was made to reduce the occurances of alliance leaders (with a CO) getting dragged into their CO's new alliance when changed. he has an friend and wishes to pass off alliance leadership to them. the game won't allow the leadership change since the loyalty belongs's to the friend's CO.

ok, so not a bug. Is there any way short of pestering admin to get alliance leadership back to my account, and still have a commander?

u can't...leave the CO and regain leadership. then rejoin the CO ^_^

And how is that supposed to work? Wouldn't I just get the 'you will not dillute you allegiance with a commander...' jargon again?
