Covert planets and sabbing

in defending realm, obviously, full covert action, covert planets included if any assist in "resisting" sabotage attempt, but what about the "sender's" planets? covert power sent obviously determines if sab was sucessful, but since there isnt an optoin to send X number of planets, is it determined solely based on spies sent, or are planets' coverts "sent along" as well?

I belive the total covert of your planets is added on top of your spies, no matter what percent you send.

If you have three planets with a combined covert bonus of 3mill, and you send 2mill worth of spies, you should have 5mill worth of covert.

If you have three planets with a combined covert bonus of 3mill, and you send 4mill worth of spies, you should have 7mill worth of covert.

It actually doesn't work that way... :?

I sent 5 covert agents against somebody with 6mil covert... and I have an covert planets. I still lost those 5 agents because the planet's covert was not added...

so I think when sabbing, the planets do nothing...

The planets DO do something in sabotage, but I never tried sabotaging someone with them without using all my spies (I had only 5 at the time).

I assumed that the covert power of the planet was divided among the spies that you have, but I never knew for sure.
There are three realities.

There's perceived reality, which is subjective.

There's actual reality, which is what actually exists.

And then there's me.

so if I wanted to sab, for the least amount of damage was to untrain all but 5 of my spies? :?

that doesn't sound quite right...

youre thinking that percentage of covert that planets provide utilised equals percentage of spies sent?

Note:Planets can only match your natural att/cov/def scores. So if you had strike action of 1,000,000 - and 2 attack planets that contribute 2,000,000 each - your strike would be 1,000,000 + 1,000,000 + 1,000,000 or 3,000,000 (not 5,000,000 since your natural strike was 1,000,000 so the planets can only add that much, times the number of attack planets you have).

If they have any effect at all, I believe the percentage bit would be correct.

To test this theory out, get a Covert planet, and recon a n00blet.
Send 24% worth of his covert power on a second recon. If you fail, the planet added nothing.
If you succeed, we will then know that the planet adds it's power.
(I don't have a covert planet or I would experiment myself :D )

Sabbing should work the same way, however I have neither the spys or the patience to sab some n00blets and find the percentage needed. (I'm also a little punch-drunk atm, so searching will have to wait till tommorow :) )
