I know that at the beginning of every turn, I am to receive a certain amount of Naquadah........but mine says "0 Naquadah".
Why is that?

The simple answer:
You need untrained troops to produce your own naquadah - at a rate of about 40 naq per untrained troop per turn.
You also receive naq from your commander - the amount depends on what % he gives his officers (10 - 30%).
This is the % of naquadah he gives to all his officers - so if he earns 1 million naq per turn and is set at 30% - 300k of that 1 million will go to his officers to share: If he has 2 officers they get 150k each; 3 oficers would get 100k each; and the commander gets 700k.

yes and they have to be untrained troops not mercs remember that one.
by the way getting 0 more naq a unit for goa'uld doesnt seem like much but its alot when you get into the big naq so i can get more naq so i can get more things
