ascension and UP

the requirements to ascend...are they based on YOUR UP or total UP?

im thinking its based just on your UP and not total.

for instance mine is just over 9K but my total is just over 14K. i think its based on the 9K can anyone confirm this?

yes, you are correct, it is based on "raw" UP, being the UP you get without planet, officer bonus.
