Alliance rank based Bonuses

Alliance rank based Bonuses

Humm... anyone ever thought of making a temporary bonus awarded to the top 4 ranked alliances?

I was thinking something along the lines of:
Rank 1 gets 200% increase in defense because everyone is trying to beat them so they have to remain extra prepared.
Rank 2 gets 100% increase in offense because they'll need it to out-compete Rank1.
Rank 3 gets a 10% increase in Covert.
Rank 4 gets a 5% increase in AC.

These of course would be set by the day or something -- some kind of normalized scheduled updating of the alliance ranks so the alliances would actually get the benefit of the bonus.

So what you're saying is make those at the top harder to beat?

Surely the war with CIA isn't going that badly (joke - or is it? :wink: ).

In all seriousness - why? The top alliances got there because they are the best at what they do - surely every other alliance must be given an equal footing to get there as well, without having to overcome additional bonuses infused into those at the top?

Ummm, I think that's a very bad idea. It would further unbalance the game, with everyone in the no.1 alliance having 200% increased defences. :?
And what happens if the top 2 alliances are allied together, where is the point in that 100% offense bonus?

as good or bad of an idea, it's alway something for any alliance to work toward... if you look at who's on top in the alliance ranks Omega's not the only one there (who are at war), and frankly and alliance can power up to rank one... it's only a matter of whose the best that can maintain it. I think that's what I'm getting at, that people should be powered up, people should use their plower instead of always remaining small looking. Not to mention it would be difficult for any alliance to gage exactly who will power up the next day and de-thrown them for the top spot.

    ah, but that doesn't work on an alliance level for being the best.

    How about this put into the form of expensive alliance upgrades? Say top alliance gets 10 "Alliance Glory Points" a turn, 2 - 5 get 5points a turn. 6 - 20 get 3 a turn and 20 - 30 get 1 a turn. Then you can spend those on say 1% boost to all alliance defences/atk'd w/e. It would also give a point for making disband alliances inw ar, so they actually lose things, all that input, and because they are stronger its still hard to benefit because there is always going to be that 10per turn limit, 1 upgrade right, could say take 1k Glory points.

    Also it wouldnt be unfair because its easy to get rank1 alliance if you all chip in.

    I like my idea :-D

    Bad Idea, will just make the already hard to beat alliances even stronger.

    come on... top 30 alliances... some people could do that alone without the aid of the rest of an alliance.
