Inactive Account Name Change

Ever wanted a name in SGW but couldn't have it because some low leveled inactive account had it? I have. I had to take the name Tanith1 because there is an inactive named Tanith. So I was thinking, what if there was a way we could have a button appear in the person's command center and if they didn't click it in 2 weeks then their name would be auto-changed to something and the name would become available. This button could appear in a number of ways, either by "attacking" them and making it appear, or via using 3 MTs (like a normal name change cost)

Now, so that people that are taking a break cannot be hit, this would not affect those on vacation mode. Only those that are sitting out as farms, but are taking up the name that YOU want.

I do not like the idea. It is their name even if they are not playing, they could always come back. If I left I would not go on vacation mode. They registered the name and it is my opinion that they should be able to keep it.

I think is a good idea. but the period to be 4-6 weeks, and not 2!

If I bought a can of coke and just put it in storage it is still mine, they created the accounts and they can do with them what they please.

I say there should be a 1month waiting period.

If the person with the desired name logs in ONCE during that 1 month, they keep the name.

If they're vac mode, they cant loose their name.

And they have to be innactive for at LEAST 2 months to loose it in the first place.

I have been inactive for more than 2 months at a time and I would be mad if someone took my name. The account is mine no where does it actually say that you have to play it. What is next taking lifers from inactive people?

With what I proposed, they have THREE MONTHS to stop it.

2 months when it cant be done, then AFTER that 3rd month only then can someome apply to take their name, and theres a 1month period that starts WHENEVER someone applys to take it after the 2 months.

so 2 moths of innactivity+however long til someone applies to take the name+1 month once someone applies for the name.

If the innactive logs in ONCE during that period, its reset.

And if the person is vac mode, it doesnt apply at all because they went vac mode.


Examples:

Person A- wants name
Person B- has name


January1- Person B last logs in

March1- Person B's name is now elegible to be applied for

MAY first- person A applies for person Bs name.

May 15th- Person B logs in, gets a message telling him his name was

applied for, but as he logged in, the proccess was ended, and recives a

recomendation to use vacation mode in the future

Now, lets say person B goes innactive again ......

JULY 15th, person B hasnt logged in for 2 months again

July 16th, person A applies for person Bs name again

July 20th, person B logs in again, recives teh same notice.


Thats OVER 7 MONTHS with ONLY 2 logins from that person.
