Anyone here from US?
Is there anyone here from US? I need to talk someone from there, I'm visiting Orlando / Miami this summer and want some info on events, what I can do there and about the prices (circa) on some stuff there.

Well, I've been to orlando and the area near it.
From what I remember, the Orlando Universal Studios thing was cheaper then Disney world, which is super expensive.
You'll probably want to bring at least $150 for the theme parks alone, especially if you plan to spend multiple days or eat the food from the theme parks. (Best bet would be to bring sandwiches or something in a backpack)

Thanks guys. I'll also PM REK and get some info from him. I was also wondering how much it costs to shop in like Levi's stores and stuff.
Cause it's extremly exspensive here.

from what I heard a long time ago, people from Europe go to America under the guise of visiting family & friends,
hit the malls, and don't even care that they have to pay duties on the way back.
P.S. let's turn this into a location thread...
I'm from Rochester, NY, USA, as noted below my avatar.

Erm... yeah... did I mention walmart? K-Mart? Dollar general?
Bob's uber-discounted T-shirts N' jeans?

Aye, at least $150 and bring your own food is a must...
I know i've (in years past) blown as much as $90 on much smaller one-day theme parks - I can't imagine Orlando & Co. would be any cheaper.

For more accurate pricing you can always browse your travel brochure (if you've got one), and search the recommended shopping spots online. Or, if you know the vendor name (say levi) you should be able to do the same.

Meh, just don’t forget to have fun… and wear your sunblock!

Buy stuff from thrift stores, that is where I buy all of my books
Buying clothes out of season also helps on the price. Since it is hot in the southern part of the United States jackets and stuff will be cheap.

Animal Kingdom has the new ride.. its a coaster.. Everest.
Also there is the test track at Epcot.
Disney has Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain & Splash Mountain.
By the way there are meal plans for Universal that for $20 or so (think it's less) you can have all you want (at certain locations in the park) for food. It actually turns out not to be such a bad deal if you get the $8 coke refill too, which also needs to be filled at the same locations. Some of the places have better and more choices than others.
Levi's, etc. There are 3 or 4 factory outlet stores in Orlando and then of course in South Florida there is the Sawgrass Mills Shopping outlet. The prices are WAY better here than just about anywhere (although you can buy Nike's for $5.00 in the Philippines if you go where they are made).

http://www.universalstudios.com/index.php they have great ticket prices for international travelers
http://www.disneyworld.com the only discount available is from AAA Auto Club, its only like $3

Thanks alot Tweety.
One question... coz I love Levi's.
As I understand it, the US Levi's line is not the same as in Europe. Here it is 506 or something but in US it's something else.
Here it's extremely exspensive... I just bought white levi's pants here for 210 $. Can one get something from that line in US? Cheaper than here.
