the eyes, nose and mouth on the first one feel out of place - and the general shape of the head seems...alien?
it doesnt look quite human. also its not clear what he's holding, probably because of the unfinished coloring(and i dont know who he is/where hes from).
The second one is better color-wise, though still unfinished it shows quite abit - however, as with the first one i can't tell what he's doing/holding.
It also may do good if you practice a little on the hair - i can tell it's pretty much suppose to be hard hair(dbz-ish?), but the lines don't seem to flow the way they would with real hair(even spikey hair, as my nephew has it[its shocking how well he can pull off the goku look lol]).
Also, practice coloring abit more - it doesnt take much to learn how to color a basic pencil drawing into an anime picture, just practice mostly - i have a great tutorial that shows how exactly to take a pencil drawing and turn in into an anime picture, i found it while looking for mangaka resources and it's quite good - (click
herefor it) - even made some of my crappy drawings look half way decent.
and trust me, thats saying alot. lol
All-in-all though their pretty good. i've seen alot worse, some from professional artists! lol
though really, don't let my critizism slow you down - just improve and give me less to criticize.
that way we'll both be happy - you the skilled artist, and me the critical perfectionist.
