command star not adding to defence anymore?

I have noticed that my defence has not been increased for some time now...
I get attacked unsuccessfully everyday, and my command star used to add to my defence every once and a while when it overpowered the incoming command star, well I have been checking attack logs and I have not had the star add to my defence in the last 2 weeks, for example, I was hit yesterday and my command stars weapon power was 13 times the incoming commands stars weapons power, my shield power was 2 times their weapon power.
And my ship "exhausted all its power"
Is the bonus gone? or does everone that hit me in last 5 days suddenly have huge shields?
anyone else experiencing this?
p.s. my command star weapons are more than 2 times as powerful as my defence(thats why bonus was as high as to double my defence)

maybe it only occurs if you absolutely overpower the enemy CS by tons.

thats why I posted my weapons were 13 times stronger than the incoming star...
We are talking dozens upon dozens of billions stronger. and still no bonus to my defence.

But! my star used to give me defence bonuses...

the CS also used to inflict full damage even without having any att. i think forums fixed it in boths ways, so your CS only supports your army related to your normal att/defense actions..

= almost no physical def => not much CS def support

but it is adding 0,,, does it add any for you?
It says exhausted all its power, when I know it was dozens of billions of attack stronger than the attacking ships weapons or sheilds,,, I have tried it with a friend whos ships total power is 1/4 my weapon strength.
