Planet stealing
An idea for stealing planets. When someone trys to take your planet and fails, maybe put a limit on how many times they can try and take it in a day or put a capacity on it like how u can only spy/sab 50 times at a max. but then u get some of them back each turn.

Re: Planet stealing
that would be interesting.......could you detail it?
like, how much should this....."Fleet Capacity" be? Too much and it won't have much effect, too little and stealing planets will become too difficult.

What's next? Unable to mass someone unless you succeed for the first time?

Re: Planet stealing
it would make sense because we put a time limit on how long before you MS can be used again. it only makes sense.

Re: Planet stealing
I think it would be good to have 10-15 capacity for it. it gives u a pretty good chance to take a planet but u have to be more careful on how u plan the attack. not just rushing in as many times as u want before u take it. this give the owner of the planet a little time to fight back. A little more balenced i think.

The fleets are far more expensive to build than planet defenses and they give you no benefit. This ideea should not be implemented, because giant planets won`t ever be able to be massed.

Already there are planets out there that can't be touched currently in this time. A year or so from now, maybe the people with 300 bil+ defs on their planets will have to worry and increase their defences, but by that time they'll have grown greatly. That alone should be a reason.
Two: If you're gonna limit planets attacks on someone then why not go ahead and limit attacks on massing people? But wait, that would take away from the war concept of the game... ITS A WAR GAME. BUILD BIGGER DEFS OR MASS THEM FOR MASSING DOWN YOUR PLANET DEFS.
Everyone should know by now that planet defence, unless they are 300 bil+ are pointless. Anyone can mass them.

i have to agree, that would make it less fun for ppl who love making idiots with heavily defended planets realize that their planets are indeed not safe

Re: Planet stealing
No. Planet hits are limited by turns, as are all attacks in SGW. No turns = no attacks. Want to put some more practical limits on attacks? Stop the endless supply of turns from the market and don't allow players to exchange turns. Otherwise, leave it alone.
In fact, it's time to make covert actions go away and be tied to turns as well but that's another discussion.

The current system for planet massing is fine, it works, and it works well, if you want to take a planet that has a high def, you have to work hard for it, end of story.
Also during a war you can be phased out when trying to steal a planet, i noticed that when hitting a few people.

Deep within Noob Cave, you find a strange pool filled with a glowing blue liquid. You think back to what your mother told you about unfamiliar liquids found in caves.
