Third annual Banner Contest!

As many of you know, The system Lord Alliance has disbanded, but our website and forums still exist as a place for SGW players and stargate fans alike to continue to visit and post about the game and Stargate itself.

in 2005 I started the SLA holiday banner contest and it got several great submissions, 2006 was a bit disappointing, but it still received a few submissions.

So, I proudly present the Third annual SLA Holiday Banner Contest.

Here is some information about the contest.

Started in 2005 really the SLA's peak year during November and December, it gave members of SGW a chance to be a part of the SLA's website and have some fun over the holidays by displaying your work on the site and forums.

That year an SLA member won the contest, Lord So'kek with his simple, yet effective holiday banner. In 2006 an in game prize was added to the contest to entice entrants. Despite the somewhat decent prize, only three submissions were entered. The winner of the 2006 Banner Contest was Spasticinformation with his wonderful rendition of Asgard "elves' slaving away under a goa'uld Santa making "toy" replicators.

Unfortunately, the 2006 prize could not be awarded due to financial burdens on the SLA and a lack of donations from contest sponsors.

So for the third year to proudly present the SLA Banner contest, but without the prize that we are unable to promise and not deliver on. this year, the prize is having your awesome image skills showcased for a fun contest!

Rules
All images must be submitted by Dec 31 of 2007, submitted banners will be entered into the rotation until the end of January, 2008.

1. ALL submitted images must be 700x250 Pixels large
--This is plenty of space to work with and make a great image.

2. ALL Submitted images must contain the name of the website in the banner.
-- The System Lord Alliance must be included, it is the SLA website afterall.

3. ALL Submitted entries must be Stargate themed as well as Holiday Themed.
-- including Christmas, Hanukkah or other holidays celebrated at this time of the year.

4. All Submitted images must be free from slanderous images or text that portray the SLA or any other known or unknown SGW alliance, party, group or individual in a distastful manner.
-- No, "teh SLA is teh suxorz, go omega, merry xmas!"

5. No recruiting or advertising for other alliances, party, group or individuals in SGW known or unknown.
-- "The System Lords and Omega wish you a merry Christmas" IS acceptable so long as the message comes from the SLA and the other alliance party group or individual.

It cool that you'r all volunteering UU and stuff, but we need the banners themselves!

I know there are alot of talented artist here, is there somewhere else this can be posted to get more exposure? would be a shame to have it die out.
