bug/ exploit/ feature?

Ok so
is the following a bug, an exploit, or a feature

As it stands now if you don't log into your account past the 2bil mark, your UP doesn't update( the % not found).

So if someone were to go away for 20 days, and they had 2bil trained resource planets making 8tril a turn. They would make 8000tril roughly, now instead of getting that 8000 tril which they won't be able to get since they are most likely going to be farmed, they get 20 days of ( their last up) say 50mil. so they get 1bil planets. Is the amount of dmu lost equal or greater then the amount of good 1bil planets would be, since if they logged in every day, they would get roughly 400-500mil planets?
