But how long can ANY army hold out with such conditions ;) .

Trust me, over time youll have to take a standdown period for all your forces.

Plus it would make an intersting effect on the game, not being able to mass/raid endlesely.

I agree with Tok'ra - I understand your point Judochop - but perhaps the main flaw in your argument is that there aren't any fresh troops been sent to the front line - it is the same ones over and over again!

The way it used to be was more realistic/stratgeic - i.e. you had to build up turns (i.e. rest your troops) before you could make another meaningful assault. It also meant that things like 1 player massing an entire alliance wasn't possible (unless they saved up for months on end - but even then they'd need the other resources) - and it was that ability that really ruined the game for me.

Trust me - if this never ending supply of AT (and possibly other in-game resources) was switched off and we could only use/trade what the players actually produced, then a) we'd soon find a lot of the stronger players/alliances be less willing to mass everybody in sight if someone dared even mention attacking them, b) we'd find people selling less - but when they did the actual price would be a true reflection of worth, and c) we'd find a few players whining - but mainly those who make $$ by selling resources.

Cause theyre still doing work ;) .

try going on a training mission in the army, no combat, but you still get tired after a while jsut cause youre doing stuff.

I was going to write something witty - but Tok'ra's answer is just as good as it is!

Re: AT's and the rate of growth

As far as armies getting tired etc , i agree , but thats in "real life " and this is make believe , so our armies have super strength/stamina and can continue to fight till their mom calls em in for tea

I'm not 100% sure as to how the ingame market rate runs , but i do know the price there is not great , it has become gradually worse since it was changed to run itself , now i feel that is one major factor in heloing push the prices up on the BM so how about that be altered and yes maybe a limit on at's again .. :?

yeah - so what I'm saying is get rid of the ATs in the market, then they can't push up the prices in the black market can they - the prices in the black market would eventual become exactly what the ATs are worth.

Re: AT's and the rate of growth

Well this game will just go back to what it was when it began were people actually needed a reason to mass someone and not just because they are bored. Also eventually the market will get to a point were people will want to sell AT instead of buy it. Once prices get to 100bil/k I will sell my AT lol.

Only way that'll happen is if more ATs are bought, which means current buyers buy more or more people buy.

It would be intersting, if while in an alliance you could only broker within your alliance, and those not in an alliance could broker anyone else.

It would certainly make things more interstign, if only due to 'he stole naq I was sent for a MT trade' threads.

then we can easly say that alliances with big members, big traders will grow like hell, smaller ones will be left behing...imo..and imo at prices won't jump as much as UU prices

Indeed.

What Ive suggested before is either remove AT altogether, and have a 'military readiness' %, you work your guys too hard, and you cant fight anymore, OR have a max AT per account/week. In other words, you can use only a certain ammount of AT per week.

3AT/turn, 48turn day, 7day week
3x48x7=1008 NATURAL ATs per week.

So prehaps have a 5x limit, you cant use more than 5k ATs a week, or prehaps a little more than that. ATs can still be traded, stll be used, but little guys get more cause noone can use more than a certain ammount.

Afterall, any army tires after a while and needs down time, thus having a limit on AT expendeture/week makes sense.

Prehaps have how much each hit costs you to your max per week depend on the defense you meet when attacking, def registers as devistating dammage to your strike, it costs more per weekly total, if its just bigger it costs only a little more, if its similar sized (bigger by 10% or smaller by 40% of your strike) it counts normal, if its smaller than 40% of yoru strike costs a fraction of normal, if theres no defense, it costs half normal.

THE LIMIT OF AT'S PER WEEK PER ACCOUNT IS BS!

why? Because some use **Filtered** load of a's per week...i'm becoming one of them...and some don't use em at all..so why screw up those who try to grow fast? come on..be serious....leave it like it is...

I don't like the AT limit per week idea either - but at the same time I think you have completely missed the point.

Besides - being willing to raid, raid, raid, doesn't make you good at the game - just shows that you are willing to put up with what is very boring.

Now, actually limiting thea mount of AT available by the market not artificially producing them would actually show us who is good at the game.

Because, there is no real supply issue.

Just overuse and people wanting a lot more (or for cheaper)

Personaly, I just say take the ATs on the market per MT multiplier, and reduce it by 1/4.

That, or have (as I said above) a limit on how many you can use per week.

reworking the market wont work.
because of the $$$ black market
people will just buy at's from the $$$ black market and sell them for way more than what you could get from buying uu from someone who sells to make a profit from the game.
plus i personaly think the price will go down soon.

the only reason it went up was because all the people over 50mill (the ones who can afford the high price) are buying up all the at's to raid because admin changed the limits.
once they cant raid anymore they will have to go back to relying on their UP's to carry them over the line and the price will then drop because the high demand will ease because less are able to raid again. and people under 50mill (well not everyone under) wont be able to afford the high prices

altho this prediction has a few flaws i personaly think thats what will happen...but i could be wrong
