I think you've missed the point most people are making to you, which is you can't expect to have something for nothing! There ARE other things you can do other than training miners - and yes, like training miners there are consequences for you in doing those things. Everything in the game can not, and should not, be made so that there is no downside.

Like I've always said, it's all about account/game management - but quite a lot of people seem to think it's about moaning loudly enough when things don't work the way you want them too.

Although I've never been raiding's greatest fan, to get rid of it now would be a mistake. Part of the reason raid was introduced was because UU became unkillable, and so a method was needed to be able to reduce the amount of UU - and a 'capture' type attack was asked for a lot at the time. Ironically, people then demanded that they wanted somewhere where their UU could not be raided, but did not want to train them into spies/soldiers - this coincided with the demand for higher naq production rates, and so the miner was born - but a consequence to protected and higher rate naq producers was the lifer.

You don't get something for nothing.

well aperently admin thinks that the "low" repsonce rate is due to the fact that the issue isnt an issue at all, and not the fact that ppl dont realy use main forums that much...

so this is left up and running for a nother week. To see if we get some more ppl to vote.

He was not so happy about coding in a totaly new way of solving the issue.. so at this point best we can hope for is 2:1 i guess.

Get ppl to vote more!

how about raiding and lifers be removed from the game and make miners killable?

now that would make the game very interesting indeed :D

I appreciate the total turnaround from prior policies it would entail, but if it has a majority backing.. :P I can only imagine the flaming people who weren't on the forums at the time of the announcement will start.. :lol:

Id think this is a problem, admin has alot of good suggestions and doesnt want to code them. Just because most people dont use the forums doesnt mean they feel differently than those in here. I personally would like a new attack type. The rehibilitation is always a good idea. I know that consequences and all but the game is designed to use units and taking out miners for things here and there becomes expensive and really cuts down how much I do. I can stand ACing or building a temp stat for fearing of retraining fees.

I also agree with this, as long as if they have a 0 defense your not going to lose units much like current AC

ok the problem i see with this is AC on the same level as covert is twice as powerful. which means you need a lot more spies to overcome their AC to kill any of them. and if someone puts say...20 mil UU into their AC and they have AC level...28-30, good luck trying to get over that hurdle to kill their AC units. and even if you do, will your losses justify their losses? im not so sure about that.

i think you'd have to change the power of AC or make AC levels more expensive so as to help level things out a little if you do this combo attack of strike and covert.

lol I think some people just want to be able to really stick it to the little guys. AC is helping the small players be able to ascend easy enough cause the educators have sent a message out to say that it is not ok for them to build their stats for G&R till they are big enough or joined up in one of two mega empires where they will be protected from these things. So I say it should be removed completely or stay costly. It would be great if everything was killable but people had to be close in size ratio and power to be able to do it. It would make the wars more realistic having the citizens getting killed. As diabolical as some people are though it would really hurt the game to allow the big players more freedom to go killing the fresh players of the game. At the same time if people lost miners and lifers in wars that were close to even it would balance the game out a bit. I like a lot of the players we have already but still some fresh faces never hurt and I respect the players who start their accounts from the beginning rather then purchase an old one and live off another's glory and hard work then go around massing smaller players because they have no idea what it's like building your own account.

I belive "new" players have no idea how it was like to build your own account, They have it alot easyer than we had it..

and its not an issue of new vs old... small vs big...

its an issue that the attack doesnt get used at all.. so why is it there, why is it not used...
what can be made to use it..
