New Rule Discussion: Stat Posting

I thought in the GC you could post stats of people before and after massed, as technically there stats have no changed, and will change again no doubt.

I think that if they're a confirmed scammer/cheater then yeah. But who's going to be the judge that decides whether or not the person really did scam?

Depends what you mean - 'scamming' only involving in-game resources is not cheating - it is in fact a way of playing the game - so NO stats should be allowed to be posted.

People need to get over this myth that scamming people out of in-game goods is cheating - because it isn't!

If the scamming involves real money, then it's fraud and is a legal matter.

Nobody has specifically in this thread, but a few people have been saying/discussing it recently in other threads - I brought it up because generaloneill asked the question of whether the stats of a confirmed scammer can be posted (and after reading the aforementioned other threads), and like I said, if it is only in-game resources, then no - because there is no legitimate reason to.

Yes - but we have to separate reality from the game - and scamming in-game resources isn't breaking any rules. If it happened to me, then I would do all I could to punish the scammer responsible, but I accept that I would not be allowed to post their stats on this forum, as they would not have broken any game rules.
