You're brilliant, sir!

Absolutely brilliant. I think we should award the next Nobel Prize to you for this brilliant retort.

Of course it's a very good idea. Unfortunately for you and all others who would love to see this happen, the forums are not connected to the game.
I don't know if that is going to change, ever, but at the moment, there is NO connection between ingame and forum. The only minor connection one might find is that the owner of the game is also site admin on this forum, and that sometimes, but never under obligation thereto, Jason posts about updates made to the game.
If you were to act under the premise that game and forum are separate, you'll see many more things make sense, rather than having to whine about how things are 'wrong'. Of course they are. In a universe where wheels are rectangular, a bike with circular wheels is 'wrong'. That's a logical consequence of a common misconception.
But seriously.. if you cannot understand that going to check on all the ingame accounts and forum accounts, and check which are connected to which, you'd better hire someone, pay that person, lock them in a cubicle for 7 days and after 7 times 24 hours see if he's gotten halfway through.
Surely you realise that to ADD this link at this point would either require the creation of a number of new forum accounts equal to the current number of game accounts (so as to retroactively give everyone a linked account); OR the complete check of ALL current forum accounts (9660) versus an ingame account they claim to be theirs.
We both agree that the first option is absurd and idiotic. The second is absurd, but.. just to humour you, because yes, I like going along with crazy ideas:
"Check on an ingame account for a link to a forum account, and how to do it."
1. Create a thread for Forum Users to post in which ingame account they claim is theirs.
2. Establish the Forum User is not a multi on the forums.
3. If the Forum User is a multi, find out which multies claim which accounts, if none are claimed, remove multies (ha! added benefit.)
4. Check ingame for the claimed account; send message to ingame account if in existence. Ask a very specific question; one that cannot by chance be answered correctly by any user; specific question PER user.
5. Await ingame response to message. Forum replies do not count; one has to PROVE they use that account. The response has to be accurate to the letter, or will be considered failed.
6. If ingame response is received, mark account as "matching ingame account ########" and move on to the next account.
7. Repeat for ALL forum accounts.
To suggest any one of us would do that is insane, buddy.
Where's your sense of realism? Again, get over it already.
