I'm sorry draleg, you left me with the impression that you'd repost the EXACT thread in the EXACT same place.

That, is why i tried to reason with you and show you that it could warrant a banning under current server war rules. (until the end of the war of course)

The way I understand it, for the FUALL/TTF war there is:

1 war thread
1 discussion thread
1 Surrender to FUALL thread
1 Surrender to TTF thread

The moderators/admins have been instructed to keep it at those four 'official' threads and to be particularly strict with their interpretation of the Forum rules so that you get 1 warning then banned from the forum for the duration of the war should you violate the rules a second time.

While I can appreciate that another thread probably isn't going to go down well - like the threads on the surrender rejections when you are warning someone that surrendering to TTF does not mean surrender or acceptance by FUALL - I think the question here is if a Mediation thread is sufficiently different from the existing four threads to be allowed.

If we allow that each thread has a different focus and topic then we have the following four threads:

1 Smack talking/bragging thread (war thread)
1 historical and reasoning debate that brings up the past, future and everything in between (the discussion thread)
1 Surrender to FUALL thread
1 Surrender to TTF thread

Personally I'm not sure that a mediation thread for one person should rate an entire new thread, but I do think that it should have been merged in with the discussion thread as has happened to previous 'rouge' threads. That would maintain continuity in what has happened with previous thread and with this one.

If the mediation attempt was for the entire war.... then it probably would rate a whole new thread (for about one page) before it got spammed and was merged in with either the discussion or war threads. Though a serious mediation thread (if possible which I don't think it is at the moment) would probably be quite challenging.

But that's just my view.

Forgive me for the apparently blunt interjection but I think this may be being taken out of context slightly.

I created a forum post (with the whole hearted intentions of roleplay) to try and get Pianomutt out of this debacle that it going. Purely as a favour, and a gesture of good frienship, wholeheartedly beleiving that I could architecht an intelligence peice of literature that would go towards positive INGAME relations.

The whole thing has backfired, as Bill (yes Bill - the human) decided that he didn't want the post posted publicly. I expressed my concern as to why it SHOULD be posted publicly on the grounds of much needed roleplay within the forums. I find it rather rude for Bill not to allow the post to continue as I've gone to the time and effort to put the post together. Remember I'm speaking as Louis here, not Diamond Dust. I expressed my concerns with him, and he failed to realise the effort I have gone to.

The choice of a moderator to remove the thread was corely influenced by Bill. He's asked someone to take it off with the reasons being that it's causing more stress than it's solving. Question for Bill is, why bother calling up favours from friends, to go to the effort of trying to resolve your problems and then throw it back in their faces.

Not to blow my own trumpet here, but four other people have tried to declare your terms of surrender and failed. If I felt that I wasn't capable of implementing a little 'quality' towards trying to getting the folks in Omega off your back Bill, I wouldn't have bothered. (I would very much like a human level response from anyone in Omega who saw the post, if possible please?).

I'm saddened and a little disgusted to be honest. I'm considering why I even bothered. Bit of a stab in the back.

DD, I think you misunderstand something as well, and I don't speak for Bill, Gunz, Draleg, or anyone else. Bill asked you to take it down because it was a breach of forum rules on the grounds it was another thread on the FUALL/TJP war and as such would warrent a warning, If it had been reposted in the same place in the same manner by the same person it would have warrented a ban for said person.


As to the content, meaning, or anything else, I do not know nor care. I'm just expressing why I think the Thread was removed. You would need to speak to the mod who moved it directly, and I urge you too, to find out their exact reasoning.

I'll take responsibility for not reading every last ounce of the nonsense that goes on in GC, and therefore responsibility for not being aware of any such rule that inhibits me from posting a surrender topic for a 'friend'.

Draleg, I think the argument might be that if it's addressed to one person, in this case GunZ, it should have been PM'd to him. I personally take a thread to be something that is open to the forum community and so is addressed to them all. But I do understand what you mean.

A VENDETTA is between two people.....Not two people and diamond dust. IF gunz wishes to declare a vendetta against me, or i against him...that's different.


Louis, the reasoning stands. One admin had already commented on it.

Next time, when you want to do me a favor, perhaps you should inquire as to the best method.
Then, rather then arguing with me, perhaps realize that I know to some degree that which I am talking about.

Friends don't let friends break rules, guess that bit me in the ass.




Draleg, like I said. You can post your issue with the decision in my section, and I will give you a very professional response.
But as this is a problem and this IS a topic that should go through the Office of the Ombudsman, I ask that this thread be moved to that
section, or moved to the dump.


This is about me, not about anyone else it seems. And as my FEEDBACK thread is in the ombudsmans corner, that is where it belongs.
Put forth your argument, post it in my section, I will even consult the admins personally before rendering the decision.
