but that takes us to my question:

Well Christian Heaven isn't you'r own personal Heaven. On the Second Comming everyone from hell with the exception of suicidal people and some that have done really bad things will be forgiven and go to Heaven.

if the lord forgives all, why are suicidal people and those who have done "really bad things" not forgiven? that does not sound all forgiving and mericiful to me

:-$ Stop pointing out the flaws in their assumptions, they know nothing about god nor the after life and yet presume to think religon has the answers.

No, you like to think that he forgives all but if all your life you have killed and took everything in vain and in the last minute you say "oh i'm so sorry", well it won't work.As for suicidal people, well they openly reject any chance of redemption and LIFE...so...

Re: Heaven

There is no evidence that any religion is true. There is no evidence that heaven exists. There is no reason to think that a human being is something more than a very complex machine formed by natural selection.

Re: Heaven

I think I would be banned if I described my idea of heaven. Let's just say it involves a lot of the users of this forum in pain, crying or just perpetual misery. I think Earendil, Tok'ra and one or two others being eternally slapped across the face with a jagged razor would be magnificent. 8-[

Re: Heaven

okay first off i know i'm gonna get some crap for my views...

i would love LOVE LOVE to believe in a heaven and hell, and a god or an allah sorry if i spelt it wrong, but personally sometimes i feel like it is a lie to get humans in general to do wat the goverment wants, wat is right as a person... to put a fear and a reward to do good, think if we all knew we were just gonna die, and nothing would happen, would we all be this good? would we truely have love for man and women alike?

i do believe in a god, kind of because i want something to happen when i die, i want to go to a heaven, because i am scared to be gone, let me finish this with a quote i love more then anything i've ever heard and it's not exact just because it's hard to find lol and i don't want to watch the movie again just to quote it but it goes something like this

"everyone is so sad because someone died, why, why are you so sad? At worst they are dead, gone, away from all this pain, at best... they are an angel with god" - Tupac Shakur -

What do you mean by saying "higher beings"? Another life, that is much more intelligent than we are? Well, that's possible.
AssAsinX wrote:otherwise, whats the point of ur life..? lol nothing,

There is no objective meaning of life. As I said, we're formed by natural selection. I think that what you're saying is that just because we want an objective meaning of life, it exists. Sorry, that's just not the way this Universe works.

Well people are reasonably sure about saints... thats what saints are, people we here are certain are in heaven. and since popes declares them this they kinda have to be due to all that "hold on earth hold on heaven" thing hehe.

As far as Judas goes, it relates to someones sentiment that "suiciders are not forgiven" or something like that.

He betrayed jesus + commited suicide. But that was all "preordained" his free will can be questioned.

So if people that commit suicide dont get in, and if judas got stuck downstairs, simply cos he played his *vital* role in fathers plans, then I deduce that father is a bit of a douche isnt he?
If he is judged to be in heaven then cartian beliefs christians have are fundamentaly wrong (atleast those regarding suicide).

this Higher beings that you admit are your gods, and the meaning of life probably has something to do with them

if you don't believe there's no meaning in life, then why are you even replying to me, why are you playing this game or why are you even on this earth?

Natural selection might explain our existence, but it doesn't explain how life or organic matter came in the first place. that is only answered by admitting that there are gods and they made the organic material and then let natural selection take over.

Re: Heaven

The idea that life was seeded upon this planet by an alien race that would be far more advanced than we can even imagine is a story that has absolutely nothing to support it.

It is much more likely that life is simply random and springs up everywhere it can, simply because it can. It doesnt need some grand architect to creat or seed it anywhere.
The river tells no lies, yet standing at its shores the dishonest man still hears them

If you dont like what I post, then tough. Either dont read it or dont bother replying to it.

Natural selections doesnt but chemistry does I do believe. Organic compounds could have come into being without intervention. Heck at one point they had to, for the alien race that seeded life here if nothing else.
