"what about the forests we're saving, the movements we're making to save the planet...?" my answer to that is simple: we save only what needs to be saved in order to secure our survival, not even as a species as a whole. the fact that we arent a unified race (eg, many countries, not everyone has the same loyalties, uncooperative, etc etc) severly limited the advance of technology in ALL fields, as it still does today.
there is nothing close mindedness or anything. What Im saying is. Other beings wont be more intelligent then us. Intelligent is an evolutionary thing and 2000 or 20000 does not do much to evolution.
when i say that im assuming things are gonna be same, theres a reason why im assuming that. The only reason we got this far is because we are this way. everyone of those things you said are the reason why are got this far. slight change would cause us to diverge.
the final point is, that the fact that we kill each other and we do things for survival doesnt do anything to our intelligence. which is an evolutionary trait (it changes over time).
If we had 2000 years more time, we would have more technology but we that would not make us more intelligent in any way. There needs to be a bigger gap in that.
large time intervels will change us. like for example 65 million years.. but not 2000 or 20000. i say 2000 because thats how much we time we have had to get this far.. i know before that we were slowing our process down, but it doesnt matter because evolution is to slow and thus thousands of years dont matter.
and to your other point, i am not close minded, because i accepted the point that others made above me about solar system creation, but the one you and some others are making about us (humans) slowing down our own process doesnt matter much when it comes down to evolution.

i must have not read this part before or else i woulda countered it.
im only trying to base my theory on what i know. and im sure you dont know either. i mean if you did you can prove me wrong completely and id believe you. if indeed what you say is "correct" then i should have no trouble believing what you are saying.
do you have any theory? all you are doing is just thinking and posting things that would counter what im trying to say in a very sad mannor
in the end, i agree there there are many many variables that i havnt taken into account. I only took time in to account. but non of these variable are things that you talk of..
edit.. if you actually want a real "science/philosophy forum" why are you on sgw looking for it.. this is a gaming world with people who watch movies nothing else lol.. im sure you can find something for yourself on google
