Attack / Massing / Alliance Gifts Changes
The Following changes were all made to bring power back to 'massing' (multiple attack on enemy to bring down their defence) -- which was done in favor of reducing sabotage.
1) Phasing maximum (pre realm alert settings) from 200 to 250 attack turns used on you. So accounts will now take longer to phase out, stopping any further attacks on their realm for a time...
2) Auto-War setting: has moved from 240 to 300 attack turns used on a target in 24hours before the game automatically sets them to a war relationship.
3) The cost of alliance gifts (ppt/repair/bank) is multiplied by members/5 (twice), up from a single multiply of base times members/5. It also doubles the base cost each year (in increments...not all at once.) And alliance repair doubled ontop of that.
4) Alliance repair from per turn, to per day (still 10). This in particular is to stop the repair function allowing free farming, hurting smaller accounts that would otherwise go below the 'worth it' threshold.
5) 7% drop in base attack unit death rate

1) phasing very good, will finally be able to get some decent spy kills after a mass

2) Auto war very good, now even excessive farming or turn farming can make war

3) Cost of alliance gifts still very cheap from what I see in the alliance management page, personally I think the alliance repair should cost the total cost of repairing the damaged weapons as it would if everyone in the alliance repaired themselves. But still a step in the right direction.

4) Still too many alliance PPTs IMO but limit on repairs very good, now to be used more carefully and thoughtfully, not just for farming or button banging while others fight.

5) Not sure that was needed with the reduction in phasing but still should encourage more massing, and more massing is never a bad thing lol


Overall I like these updates and the new 'admin that listens' approach

I would have also liked to see Sabbing set autowar, hopefully that will be considered in the near future as it makes no sense to me that you can sab without consequences and let some ACer who comes in after the sabbing with low/no stats get the autowar while the sabber remains safe.

Jason, I do hope you read this, and can make something out of it, as it may be quite vague.

While the updates you have implemented in this phase are valuable to maintaining the current players; I think that more needs to be done in terms of both updates and support in order to gather an 'income' of new active players.

A few suggestions I have seen being thrown about are:
  • More Advertising
  • Help guides on how to play
  • More welcoming community pages for noobs (yes, this is more for the forum community to tackle I do accept)
  • Smaller bridge needed to cross for new players to have some chance of catching up, without buying an account

I hope you are able to take some of this and turn it into an advantageous change of sorts.

i think the repair has dropped too much..fair about it being used too much..the way it is now though would be completely ineffective as alliance repair in war. Tbh i still want ME for sabs....when i have to kills half a def with sabs then i want something for my UU :P

Think this is too much of a cutdown, halfing it or smth would be better. From 480 to 10 is absurd :)

Why not make the repair only work on defence? Since to me it seems most of the problem is as a result of large strikes being repaired for free

Though seems to me defenses being repaired is also a problem.

Perhaps a good idea if you split them and limit both.

Att wep repair 10times a day
Def wep repair 30times a day

I think 1 to 2 each turn change is perfect. You might think easy farming would happen but then it would depend. Does the alliance cheap farm or have the ability to repair weps when someone is being massed. 10 a day is hardly going to help at all so it seems useless then. But with 1 to 2 a turn alliances have the choice between cheap farming or covering for any massing.

50 alliance repairs per day instead of 10. Its still alot lower than the original 480

Yup, like it all. I think Alliance Repair was limited too much, too fast, but people will eventually adjust. I don't think it was so bad that as a shock people will give up and leave. I'm sad I can't farm people with 0 defense with a strike anymore (due to repair cost) but it was too good to be true.

I think 1 to 2 repairs a turn is fair, but as I said what is done now will be fine, in time.
