Just because he "can", doesn't mean he should break the laws just because he doesn't have any money.
That's exactly one of the arguments some $$ scammers of online games could say, just replacing Sony by whoever are their victims.
Actually i differentiate average Joe from the multi billion dollar conglomerate with wads of cash.. I'm not saying its a valid reason or an excuse but that the exploit was made possible and easy by Sony and that we have no right to judge the man (men) that did this.
I utterly disagree, also, who in the end are concerned by this hacking? The players, among which many "average Joe".
The difference being, a mmorpg $$ scammer only screws up the player(s) he scammed, the hackers here both screwed up to some extent the firm and the players, making it worse than my example.
