Splitting the servers !!!

Maybe the key is not to split the servers up but to tie them even closer. Wouldn't it make sense to automatically be on PPT or vac mode on ascended when you are on the main server? And wouldn't it be easier for everyone if the in-game names and alliance tags from the main server were automatically copied on the ascended server?

Oh and bring back raiding to ascended. Raiding has always been the key for small and new players to catch up on main, so why not on ascended too?

you lose the responsibility of logging in to ascended to maintain your bonus, you lose your bonus.

if the servers are split, ascensions should be reverted, and since that'd destroy most of what anyone who seriously plays has worked for... it's not going to happen.

if you want PPT on Ascension, i disagree. if you're going away, you use Vacation mode. if you're going away for a short while, either risk it, or vacation your ascended. you lose something yes, but hey, what in life is free?

Then going on that grounds, remove PPT from MAIN aswell, you can use Vac mode there too, else you have no valid argument.

This would just be another way to stop yourself being descended, if you forget to go vac their too then it's your own fault...plus trying to descend aroun ascended PPT would kill that aspect of the game

Many people value ascension because it's a "pure skill" server, throwing PPT into the mix there would unbalance it, and frankly given how easy it is to PPT on main, the "ascended Council protection" would be overused.

Also: you can buy resources on Main, Protection was introduced as a method to let you keep them. you cannot buy resources in ascension(last i checked), thus that argument is invalid. PPT has a place besides a "short term ascension", and "i don't want to fight you right now, so i'm going to be invincible for 2 days"

i half agree and half disagree with the Vacation linking. if you go on Vacation on Main, then you should go on vacation in ascension, but if you go on Vacation on Ascension, you should only have the penalties associated with it now.

You can purchase DMU on the Ascended server, however, just for a 2:1 ratio of naquadah because of how easily obtainable DMU is, and how many people do not care for that server.

It's all in perspective though. You could say that 2Q is a good rate for 1T naquadah because you can farm 1T in a single hit, where as, 2Q DMU can be harder for some to find without the proper know how or account to balance it out.

4-5 hits can get u 2 quadrillion easily in Ascension depending on who you hit.

Pure skill your joking right, you needed skill way back before admin made it super easy to catch up, now there is no skill at all, you go and farm 8000 dead inactive accounts daily, convert DMU to LF and boost your stats, where is the skill in that????

If the vac mode for both servers is not linked then the servers are not linked, and thus splitting them should take place, if no split, then the 100% link should be there.

mmm fair point i never considered that, admin cannot make it 1-2 hits else everyone who cannot sit at the comp 20 hours a day is screwed, would prob force more onto vac mode.

How about during PPT ( if its introduced ) you can only be hit every 4 hours with an ascended attack instead of 3, as the Planetary Protection Agency, cannot protect you from an Ascended attack, as it is way more powerful than anything ever seen before.
