I don't like that nearly as much, colliding two planets together is a whole different ball game compared to simply refitting one planet to serve two purposes.
x naq is needed to outfit cross propulsion systems to two planets making them become close enough for a binary system to uphold, allowing for the system to be noted as '1 planet'.

Well there could still exist two types of duals... but it wouldnt really make a difference. The explanations would still be logical.
