I got a very small planet who gave me something like 60Mil covert and then, got some weapons for 20Mil each...
Innocently I clicked the SIZE button (was only 1 Mil) and it is now a SMALL planet but the only diference is that the guns cost 50% more (WHY?!?!?!?!?) and there's no extra covert bonus!
Why does the size of the planet influences the cost of weapons and not the covert bonus?
It's like saying that a Huge goldmine won't produce more gold but each worker will cost 50% more!!!!
The smaller the planet, the better?

This has been explained in other threads.
There is a limit to the amount of defences you can have on each size of planet. Therefore when you reach the maximum amount of defences, you need to upgrade the size of your planet to add more - consequently the cost of defence structures increases, which is not unreasonable.

I understand the limited defense capacity, I just don't get the extra cost for weapons... a beretta will cost me the same wether I can carry 100 or 1000000 (actually, big quantities lower the price but that's another story).
That and the same covert bonus...
I'll check other threads to look for answers.

The weapons could at least be more powerfull! if the defensive power is the same, the weapon is the same and therefore the only extra naq you should spend would be the Extra amount of weapons you are allowed to have!
It's perfectly logical - the bigger something is - the more resources that need to be used to defend it - and the greater the cost to maintain those defences - hence the greater cost.

wolf359. you're forgetting that while a gun the size of texas will cost a lot more to build and mainatin. it'll also be that much more powerful, whereas these wepons the power stays the same, but the cost goes up. if the power went up too, as is logical, we wouldn;t be complaining.
besides we're paying enough to upgrade the planet size. wqhy do we need to pay extra, if the weponms are the same? you've yet to explain that.

There are some things in life money can't buy. For everything else, there's superior firepower.

I think it's pretty freaking unreasonable, if i have a planet, build a bunch of defenses and upgraded its size a few times since i hit the limit on how many weapons it could have, then it gets stolen and i steal it back, i'm left to foot a bigger bill to rebuild the planet?
And it's not logical to need bigger guns for a bigger planet, because when you upgrade the size of a planet, those cheap guns still provide the same defense.
i'd rather have the cost be based on how many upgrades you have than how big the planet is. it'd be easy enough to make it so that the cost averages out to what it is now if you start for a tiny planet.

actually you could quite easily carry a few berettas with no cost apart from buying it, but if you want to take 100 guns youd need a nice big van to carry them in , hence extra costs, mroe guns mroe transport needfed, more cost, e.t.c e.t.c, , what you thinking of btw is when you have extra space to carry something , by fillign that space the cost of transporting per item is reduced but here whre sayign that before you can buy more weps you have to go buy yourself more trucks (the planet increase) and thse need more fueling, drivers e.t.c, hence mroe cost per unit.

Let's not forget that it is a game, and it is Stargate, so we have the powers to stretch realism as much as we want.

So we obviously have the ability to stretch the realism of the costs of defenses and the bonuses that the planets provide. Remember, that logic is a double edged sword.
