The reason I say you should be able to sell off MS weapons is simple, lets say you get into a fight with someone and build a MS for the fight.
Well, if you win you are now screwed.
You can't sell off to drop rank to get into decent raiding range.

And as for the planets, I see your point, but maybe set it to 5 per day or something.
One per day is crap.

Lets be honest the only reason you want the MS to be able to take more planets is so that they can ruin an account faster. OK then how about do 10 per week, and have the players mothership if in the system add to the defences of the planets, and the planets should stack as their are weapons that can work in the entire solar system. If you want to increase the numbers of planets that can be stolen it's only fair to Up their defence.


AS for the rest yeah you have good points.

Actually the main reason I want to be able to attack more for planets is because planets get taken so easily and it would be nice to not have to wait over the course of ten days, which can be alot more if you grab the wrong one by accident or lose one when getting more, just to get your planets back.

If you have 10 planets and 10 people get together to take them it would be nice if you could get them back or at least get replacements.

nice idea's, they would make a good addition to the game, though i would add that for planet stealing if your m/s is at home, then the attacking force would have to defeat it first.

Very good point, you use a MS's Fleets to attack a planet and if they are not there to add to your overall defense then just make them defend the planets as well and have to be repaired from that also.

Can't agree with your logic their bud - it SHOULDN'T be that easy for a powerful player to be able to drop his or her rank just so that they can raid - that is the whole point for having imposed raiding limits in the first place.

As for Planets - I'd say a maximum of 2 per day - afetr all your MS has to travel to the planet, then attack it, then bring it back. If a group of players want to get together to remove your palnets - fine - but it shouldn't be too easy to get them all back - 2 per day means you could get them all back in 5 days. I tell my own officers not to have too many planets that they can't defend - and limiting the number of planets you can steal ina day encourages people to build up teh defences on their planets so it makes them harder to steal.

Like the other ideas though.

I will concede on the MS stuff as I understand many of your points.
But I still think that 1 planet per day is crap, lol.

Or instead of 'upping' the amount of taking planets, why not introduce a system that keeps track of planets being stolen? Each time someone steals your planet, you get it in a list. They owe you then an attack (still takes 15 turns) on that specific planet. If you click on the link, you get a confirmation screen (like: 'Do you really want to use 15 turns to steal your planet back?'), and if you click 'Yes' as confirmation, then your MS attempts to steal the planet again. The planet will disappear out of the list of owed attacks, and if you were the 'first' owner of a planet (or if someone else refused to use this system to take their planet back, a.k.a., they don't take the planet back), the planet would go out of the list of ALL the ones who had a status on it.
This would prevent people giving it through friends and multies to make it disappear. (In other words: you keep track of the planet, NOT the person. So in case the planet gets stolen by the person who stole it from you, you still can keep track of it.)
In the attack log it would show up as '... stolen by ..., as the previous owner' instead of just '... stolen by ...'. In case you steal the planet back normally, the 'counter' would disappear.

It would be cool if you could jsut click on the planet name and have it take you to the attack screen for planet attacks.

um... the whole point of having friend make "planets disappear" is so that the person who has the strongest mothership don't dominate all the planets...

the f-302 gated into Anubus' shields and blew up his super weapon.
Additionally the ancient space ship with the time travel capabilities blew up a Goa'uld MS with 1 well placed shot by Jack. As an ascended being it is reasonable to assume I could gain access to that same technology for my fleets.
Aside from that, weapon damage hurts shields, If your shields suck even death gliders could bring down the shields and be able to cause damage directly to any MS.
