I'm almost 100% sure this has been suggested sorry it it has been before but anyway..
For anyone who has had planets stolen this one is for you... Its 2 ideas into one really
Do you remember the episode of Stargate where Baal was tagging Stargates in order to steal them well the same thing can be applied here..
If we are given the option of tagging our planets so that they remain in the logs for 5 days along with the ID's of the people who stole them..
You will have a upgrade button for this planet tagging, like the button for upgrading the size..
So for example
Jamies Planet conquered 15 123,456,789,012 0
Then when my planet is conquered by someone else you can see their ID show up in your attack logs.. And keep doing so untill the 5 days are up..
(12345) Jamies Planet conquered 15 123,456,789,012 0
(54321) Jamies Planet conquered 15 123,456,789,012 0
Also within the 5 days that a planet is on someone's attack logs it can NOT be renamed or tagged again..
The price for tagging would be 10 billion naq and as long as it is in the original owners attack log you can not tag it again or rename it..
The benefits..
Players can keep a track of thier planets for upto 5 days of original theft and follow it around the place..
Planet Pirating will stop becuase you will know who is behind it
The disadvantages
If the Planet Pirate abandons it (which is highly unlikely because most planet pirates steal UP planets) it can not be tracked.. However since you have it tagged and you send your MS out to explore you should increase your chances of finding it

so does that one
Give all planets an ID number, that way when its stolen you could just punch in the ID to find out who has it.

this was an interesting twist on it, but the renaming part is unneccesary, as the id's would be the identifying parts, not the name... and most people like to give name to planet immedeatly, not after 5 days...

yeah - I made a similar suggestion some time back (although I can't find it), along the lines of you still have loyal followers on the planet, so when the planet is transferred to someone else, they send you a message, giving away its location.
As for Emperor Martin's comment - I agree with what you are saying - but since there is no will or desire to try and solve the situation any other way - this would seem like a sensibile suggestion.

Good idea,
Planet multis are getting bad in the game, with entire alliances consisting of them just to steal planets, and if you lose 8 in 1 day, yes you can only take 1 back, how about, when you steal a planet, you cannot, sell fleets, add fleets or send your MS out, go on PPT of VAC mode, so save your account for the 2 hours after,
That means there is a greater loss or risk when you steal a planet, as atm some of these multis have 15k + fleets and they steal a planet then sell off the fleets, if they had no way to protect themselves other than there army and MS for 2 hours, these multis with 15k fleets would lose them all in a massing after stealing the planet, thats going to cost several hundred billion everyday, espically if there ascended.

I dont like it. Now all the top, super-powerful players can keep their 10 planets, and those below them have absolutely no chance of having any. Planet thieves are like Robin Hoods, steal from the rich give to the poor. With planet tracking, the legitimate business of planet thieving will be utterly destroyed.
Just because the admin cant stop multis, doesnt mean that they should hamstring legitimate players to get to them.

so what. 2 hours is nothing. not enough. most people don't even login each 4 hours. and what about night. it should be made 12 hours at least

we agree, too short... one of the better things about it already being 2 hours, is that it should be easy to change to 12 hours or so...
