this is a real noob question but i never bothered about anti cov until now.
anyway do you need to beat the oppenents defence inorder for your ac to kill his covert? or could you attack someone with a much smaller attack force but still wipe out all their covert if your anti covert was powerful or in great numbers.

no hav a stronger anti than his covert. the stronger def themore that will die in crossfire when heading to do thier job. but u dont nessarily need to exceed his covert. beating the def might ad xx% to covert strength if his def is overpowered

who needs submarines anyway, those little black boats just keep sinking under the water anyway.

Anti Covert Agents If you have anti covert agents, they come into battle with you, in the attempt to kill your enemies covert agents/spies. They suffer damage based on the enemy military defence, and then must overpower the enemy covert action in order to kill spies. The amount killed is based on the difference between your anti-covert action, and their covert action, and how much time (turns) they have to spend. Also worth noting is if the enemy has no defence to speak of, your army (being bored) will assist your anti-covert activities, increasing their potential by up to 300% (making them 3x as powerful).
i dont think def matters too much but i could b wrong as i make a habbit of not attacking people with higher def then my strike

I agree with Tokra here, using miners results in huge lifer counts. using spies is the most economical choice.

Its cheaper to retrain miners, and yes you get lifers outta it.
That said, having a large number of UU in the mines (inaddition to a large UP) is QUITE useful, if you suddenly need untrained for something.
If you're in a war, odds are you will be loosing spies anyway, if you loose def.
So better to make them AC in that case, loose spies thru untrain rather than someone elses AC.
Then AC them and their freidns before they can sab yoru strike.

which prevents (effective, execpt from the hi pwr people) sabs

which lets you sab strike

if u wanna mass someone- u kill spies at a certain point. u get anti covert levels and assasins. where u kill any spies depends on the target covert capacity - ac levels come into play (along with assasins). the defense of target will tell how many asasins die while breaking off main force to hunt. if defense is weak enuff. ure atkers will get bored and add up to 300% to ure ac capacity.
so if u dont intend to mass ppl leave AC ALONE
