Petition for PPT for server down times

Screw you , its not our fault that you got hit , farmed , raided stop bad mouthing people like killtacular , its people like you that stop people from coming to the forum. Bad mouthing people that dont agree with you , the ppt would not be smart , somewhere i heard that if the downtime is longer than 12 or 24 hours then you get a ppt.

Whoa, hold your horses, mate. Xale's the one badmouthing? In case you didn't notice, it was Killta that basically called him a lifeless freak. Xale's reply was pretty gentle, if you ask me.

anyway itd be better to work like vacation mode which cancels when you log on because you wont make any income so even people with dial-up wont be affected because they wont have anything to lose.

also wouldnt this be better notice in the suggestions sub forum?

i lost 19bill due to this downtime, cuz i ran out of PPT ..... so:

a notification of future downtimes (known ones) will do also; otherwise: a ppt would be nice....

if you are on PPT when the server goes down it is one thing to stay on PPT but you should not get a PPT just because you got attackled when the server came back up. I dont log on for 6-8 hours a day and I accept the fact that I am going to get naq hits against me, you should accept that as well.

it was bedtime for me(yes i DO sleep), and i had around 1-2 hours of PPT before it ran downtime ....maybe you are right, but just a short notification that it will be down would have been very nice and saved me the naq ... however, i can live with it ...

Supporting this suggestion....PPT should be given for every server down time - I suggest 24 hours or longer as 12 hours is in some cases not enough (example: during school I'm unable to go on comp for about 16 hours or so)

Admin said that all realms were affected equally, thus there was no need for a free PPT.

Stop asking for handouts no one got their few turns of income.

I voted yes. The problem arises when you are on PPT and have timed it so that it fits in with work etc. If the server is down when you log on to either renew, bank, adjust etc and it is not up then in a case of myself I may lose up to 400bil Naq, and if raided close to 500k UU's.

Now in those instances it is impossible to log on again because of RL interruptions and you can lose up to 2 days production excluding repayment for damages to troops etc.

Well, like i posted before. It's done and it's over. Instead of like whining about it, increase your defence/covert. It was a one off, unlucky for a very few of you, but wasn't a major problem to the rest. It was literally 2days worth of naq. Just think, would you rather have:

1. Hackers, bug abuses go around ruining the game by cheating and you keep your 2 days naq (which you can get back in....2 days).
2. Or would you prefer this game to stay a good game, for it not to go down hill like most of the other web-based turn games because their admin didn't care about cheaters and just made the game then left it?

If it's the second one then you really value your naq to much and shouldnt be playing a war game

like has been mentioned by several people, i would rather a game without cheaters then my overnight naq.

for all known server maintenance, notice should be given like 2 days in advance. that would allow people to make adjustments to schedules, buy PPT or go on vacation mode. for the ones we get no warning about, theres not much u can do about it. everyone get affected equally. granted some ppl made a nice profit, and others lost a small fortune but just think about what admin does for us and without him u wouldnt be winging over lost naq as there wouldnt be any to lose in the first place.

PPT should only be given for major downtimes, but the thing is, why does it need to be there for downtimes at all, I mean no-one else can get in either...can they?!

Of course you could always just ask everyone to not be so mean, but what are you playing at anyway?! Call yourselfs Star Gåte Wars (The funny A is due to copyright infringements if actual A is used...I aint calling it the gate wars dammit!!! ITS SGWS!!!!) Players, pffft, You should be ashamed! Do what the rest of us do, Sit there until the game comes back, then farm those whom do not...

PPT should depend on HOW LONG the server was down, sometimes we just have a downtime for 30 minutes... you can't blame huge losses to that...

the problem is not the game itself, its the RL ... you can´t expect me to stay the night in front of the comp and try every few mins if the game is on again ...

but like i said, a small notification of such downtimes would be nice ... PPT isn´t necesarily needed .... but those who are living in whattehhell were can have a small advantages as its not 01:00 in the morning for them, like here in germany ... so its not 100% treating everybody equally, cuz you never can ..

I think that admin shouldn't give free PPT for every crash down..
if the server is down for more than 1 day than i think that it is fair from admin to give 24 hours PPT,because some guys can make really big profit if the game returns when they are online and some have preety big losses (it depends in which GMT are you)...

but i think that bigger problem here is than guys who are on PPT before the server chrashes down for some days don't bank naq because you look more "powerful" if you are on PPT and you have large amounts of naq outside...so i think that you altough are on PPT should bank naq at least every 12 hours (depends how much time do you have and how important this game is for you) and not put all naq from your bank when you go on PPT...

but still you shouldn't be angry on game,players,admin if the game chrashes and you lose 200 bil naq (just an exemple),because this is still JUST A GAME and the games are made to make you happy and not to make you angry..
so if you can't handle it build a better defense or leave the game


another proposal from me is that when server crashes the game completly stops (i know that sometimes this happened and sometimes wasn't) and you start getting your income,turns,units when admin fix the problem or when admin fix the problem it banks to all players automaticaly..

but i think that admin doesn't have time to do this updates because they are on the other hand unfair...

the best is to not have PPT at all and if you lose naq it is just a bad luck

and remember that there is no game in this world were all players are winners at the end - again luck

exactly my case, except i didn´t banked because i´m non-ascended and banking would cost me 5%, so i thought: why bank? i am save, am i not? the banking wasn´t necessary, it would have been just a unnecessary cost, thats what i thought ...

well, i aöreday cooled down, no realy problem actually, but i still would like to see notifications for such downtimes (yes, i repeat myself ) so i´ll bank the naq ..
