Now I am going to go more in depth about the fighters, and the way I think they should be.
There is a button - Redesign fighters - in your armory.
When you click that link, you see the ability to build weps & shields for 1/20th the cost of ms weapons, but also with 1/22nd the power.
The cost is multiplied, though, by how many fighters you have. For instance, adding one weapon to your fighter design with 20 fighters will cost you the same as a mothership weapon.
There is no capacity, but there is a limit of six weps or shields. In this case, shields give less power but have more use, contrary to motherships. Thus, if you are a player that only cares about rank, you should buy fighter weps. If you care about actual ability to win fights, you buy shields.
Buying fighters costs as much as it would cost to go from no weps & sheilds to as many as your current design has, with one fighter.
You can sell off some of your weps or sheilds, but doing so costs money (5 naq per fighter), as you would need engineers to recalibrate or whatever the whole system.
You can also designate the necessary men to fly a single fighter (max three) which improves your efficiency in this order
1 man - No bonuses or extra efficiencies
2 men - Add a copilot for better manueverability (aka less fighter losses)
3 men - Add a gunner for better accuracy (aka increase wep efficiency)
Changing the men needed costs 200 mil naquadah + the amount of guys required to pilot all your fighters + 35k naq per guy. Whenever you build a fighter, it will add 35k naq per pilot, and train the pilots needed, directly out of your untrained. They wil be trained into Pilots, which appears on your train page, command center, and stuff. You can also spend 320k naq to train a pilot to a Super Pilot or whatever, and he doubles his fighter's efficiency.
You can also name your fighter model, and with each change it will add "model " + however many times you've upgraded it.
Example - If I make my fighter design (Skorpion) and then give the model four sheilds, two weps, and three guys (from two upgrades), that will make my fighter called "Skorpion Model 8" and in battles you will see
"A fleet of KnightValor's Skorpion Model 8s meet head on with XXXXX's RipKiller Model 7s, and destroy X enemy fighters in the charge."
Also, designing a fighter in the first place requires 250 mil.
